My Reptile Interests

I'm really into snakes. Seems like a lot of that going around here. I have kept herps since middle school. Remember the day it happened..brought home a garter snake I found in a field and tried stuffing it into my jacket, but my mom noticed something funny and she completely lost it. I was so bummed..but I put him back. :) I've kept pacmans, bts, corns, red-tails, balls, kings, anoles, house geckos, & toads. I've also bred lots of feeders too: mice, rats, gerbils, hamsters, african spiny mice, etc. Too many to count. As for field herping..not specifically. When I hike I keep my eye out, but I don't actively search.

Other Interests

Watch good movies, hang out with friends. Love McMenamins and their Rubys!! Run my dogs and keep myself busy. Lots of book reading, always interested in fantasy and sifi. Favorite authors are Kelley Armstrong, Rachel Caine, Kim Harrison, Stephenie Meyer, Charlaine Harris, Jim Butcher..I could go on. I hardly have a moment to myself.

I'm all across the board for this question. I love Beatles, Oldies, Offspring, etc. But, I'm not as educated as I am in movies and I get chastised frequently from the ladies at work.

Oh, here we go!!! I LOVE the senseless "blow 'em up" kind from the '80-90s. Arnold, Sylvester, Mel, Jean-Claude are among my favorites. Also into the classic drama and chic flicks too. Cannot stand the stupid Will Farrell ones. Seriously, how many crap movies can that guy make?? Tv shows are Lost, Weeds, Bones, Dog the Bounty Hunter, True Blood, etc.

By day I'm a veterinary receptionist, and by night I attend to my small collection of snakes.
I feel like I've been in school forever! That's what happens when you change your major three times. I attend a community college part time, and I'm currently working on getting accepted into the Medical Lab Technician program online. I also officially registered my small hobby with the State of Oregon Business License Department, so we are now called High Desert Reptiles! I've been told I'm a outgoing and pretty fun individual. I enjoy life and try really hard to stay around postive people. I love all types of animals, scaly or not! :)
I am also priveleged to be a Director for the local herp group, Central Oregon Herpetology.
