First brumation

So I'm brumating snakes for the first time. Bonnie and Clyde, my ribbon snakes, are going in for a nice three-week nap on the recommendations of members of thamnophis.com. I have to say, it makes me nervous! I'm used to tropical snakes that need heat! San Diego doesn't get very cold, but still! They're now in my (attached) garage, covered with a beach towel, with lots of clean water and their live plants removed. I hope they sleep well! Moreover, I hope they start eating again when they wake up! I had to jury-rig a temporary fish tank for the platys they've been ignoring, since my little 5-gallon Chi just isn't enough for 15+ fish! Any tips are greatly appreciated!

	San Diego is so pretty, I have a friend that lives in Del Mar and she let's us come hang out with her there in the summer, but you're right it doesn't get very cold there, ever, lol. Brumating made me nervous too, but all my corn snakes are happy and healthy and started eating right after they came out of brumation no problem. Hope everything goes well, but I wouldn't worry.
